Validation of the Devolution Strategy for road projects in Malawi

Under the EU-financed Rural Roads Improvement Project, NTU hold a successful 2-days workshop in Lilongwe with participation of Districts Commissioners from the 12 pilot districts of RRImP, the Ministry of Transports & Public Works, the Ministry of Local Government & Rural Development, the Local Authorities Service Commission, the Road Fund Administration and the National Authorising Office.

Commencing devolution strategy

Based on the draft devolution strategy presented by NTU team, discussions and groups sessions were held which led to presentations of detailed conclusions on how to commence the devolution strategy, possibly with early interventions in the National financial year 2020-2021 and with full implementation in 2021-2022.
