NTU arranges stakeholders consultations in Malawi

Identifying Capacity Development Gaps in Road Works & Maintenance Management

Under the EU-financed Rural Roads Improvement Project, two workshops were held in Lilongwe and Blantyre respectively, involving participation of key stakeholders from the ASWAp road interventions in the 12 districts councils of Malawi with the main aim of discussing and identifying Capacity Development Gaps in Road Works & Maintenance Management.

Key stakeholders

The key stakeholders were represented by Districts Council’s Directors of Public Works, Supervising consultants, Road Authority and ASWAp project coordinator.

The workshop generated lively and open discussion which led to identification of project implementation challenges as well as gaps to be closed in the capacity development.
