New shortlists in Thailand and Malaysia

11th of August, 2022

The goal of the project is to turn climate and environmental challenges into major opportunities for sustainable development

We are happy to announce that we have been shortlisted for two new projects in Thailand and Malaysia! EU-Malaysia Cooperation Facility & EU-Thailand Cooperation Facility.

In line with the EU Strategy for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, the EU is pursuing a balanced and broad engagement with Malaysia and Thailand, to improve overall relations and to promote universal and shared values on human rights, including gender equality and women’s empowerment, labour, democracy, the environment, and multilateralism.

The overall objectives of these projects will be to enhance the partnership between EU and the countries involved, with the specific goals of reinforcing their relationship and policy dialogues, and promote the increased aliment between EU-Thailand & EU-Malaysia interests, principles, policies and values with a particular focus on the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs.

As a result, the projects would support a wide range of issues relevant to the EU-Thailand and EU-Malaysia relations and would further contribute to the formation of a strategic partnership associating a diversity of stakeholders, including civil society and the private sector.
