NTU is pleased to draw attention to the recent RAN Practitioners Plenary held in Brussels this October. We eagerly anticipate the forthcoming conclusion paper, which will soon be accessible on the RAN Practitioners website, providing valuable guidance for our collaborative endeavors.

At NTU International, we're committed to contribute to combating radicalization and promoting invaluable knowledge exchange within the community.

The discussions among practitioners from various regions of Europe were truly insightful, focusing on critical topics such as catalysts for radicalization, online extremism, mental health in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE), and the ramifications of global events such as Israel-Gaza and Russia’s war in Ukraine. Additionally, the event marked the launch of the new EU Knowledge Hub next year which will build upon the noteworthy achievements already realized by RAN. The EU Knowledge Hub will go further and bring together all the stakeholders – practitioners, policymakers and researchers within a single collaborative framework. We invite you to take a look at a short film capturing the perspectives of the participants: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGMliPqgrAQ

We also want to highlight noteworthy publications that are currently contributing to the enrichment of the prevention and countering radicalization field.. These publications explore diverse aspects, including the evaluation challenges of P/CVE programs (https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/whats-new/publications/evaluation-secondary-and-tertiary-level-pcve-programmes-october-2023_en), insights into using personal stories in preventive campaigns (https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/whats-new/publications/ran-cn-working-group-meeting-preventive-campaigning-using-biographical-experiences-victims-survivors_en), and strategies for countering hate speech in the Western Balkans (https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/whats-new/publications/taking-stock-approaches-counter-hate-speech-western-balkans-september-2023_en). They are anticipated to serve as indispensable resources for practitioners seeking practical guidance.

As we progress, let us sustain these vital conversations and leverage the acquired insights to foster a safer, more inclusive society. Stay tuned for the forthcoming conclusion paper—it’s set to be a comprehensive guide driving our collective efforts forward!
