NTU has successfully supported EASA with the provision of a gap-analysis and draft regulation of the FCL regulatory framework for Jordan

NTU has successfully assisted The European Aviation Safety Agency in implementation of a technical assistance assignment for the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission. The expert contracted by NTU has provided a gap-analysis and draft regulation of the FCL regulatory framework in the context of the Euromed Aviation Safety Project, which EASA is implementing in Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Syria.

The purpose of the assignment was to provide an FCL expert to support CARC Jordan in its endeavor to implement EASA FCL regulatory framework by helping them to align their FCL regulation with the EU FCL regulation.

The Euromed Aviation Safety Project

The Euromed Aviation Safety Project involves promoting awareness of EASA and the EU civil aviation safety system. Furthermore, the project provides training and consultancy according to the beneficiary countries' specific needs, while simultaneously providing exposure to the EU system. The overall objective of this project is to develop content in training and consultancy that will help:

  • Harmonize their legislation with EU regulation
  • Explore the possibilities for an enhanced cooperation with EASA
  • Improve their aviation safety oversight capabilities
  • Reinforce cooperation between the Mediterranean Partners themselves
