New Shortlist under EuropeAid funding - rail sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina

NTU, as consortium lead, has been shortlisted for EuropeAid project Capacity Building of Bosnia and Herzegovina Railway Regulatory Board (EuropeAid/136768/DH/SER/BA). The overall objective of the project is the to open the railway market in BiH. The purpose of the project is to assist BiH Railway Regulatory Board (RRB) in regulation of the railway market through: Provision of preconditions, procedures and requirements for licensing of train drivers. Provision of the framework and draft regulations for application of measures of energy efficiency in the railway sector, with a special focus of energy consumption for train traction. Provision of capacity building of the BiH RRB and facilitate for the RRB further transposition and implementation of the railway acquis through training of railway staff on the application of new railway regulations compliant to the four packages of Railway Directives, UIC norms/EN and Technical Specifications of Interoperability (TSIs) in particular the railway safety acquis. The duration of the project is established for 12 months with a budget of EUR 1 365 098.
