EASA Safety Programme Implementation Course in Bangkok

State Safety Programme and Safety Management System Course in Bangkok

In 2010 the High-Level Safety Conference at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) ruled that aviation safety regulation should move toward a more proactive safety management regime through implementation of State Safety Programme and Safety Management System in States. As a result, a 5-day course on State Safety Programme and Safety Management was put together.

This time, the course was held at the ICAO APAC Regional Office in Bangkok and the training was delivered by two safety management experts.  It was attended by 22 delegates from the National Aviation Authorities of States in the region including Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, PDR Lao and Myanmar.  Subjects covered included Introductory material on SSP and SMS, practical and supporting aspects of implementation and oversight, and updating of SSP compliance to reflect Annex 19 Edition 2 and ICAO SMM 4th edition.
