NTU is shortlisted for the CBTF funded project

The Capacity Building Trust Fund (CBTF) supports public administration projects in the Republic of South Sudan to enhance government capacity to manage human, organizational and financial resources effectively. The CBTF has supported the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MoFEP) in the area of information technology over the past two years through projects designed to support the country’s transition to independence. As a result of these initiatives, MoFEP recently completed installation of a modular datacentre including standby power generation, UPS battery backup, high capacity cooling system, fire suppression, and blade server racks. Key systems such as IFMIS and payroll are in the process of being migrated to the new datacenter through separate support contracts. To plan further interventions the area of information technology MoFEP recently developed a five-year IT strategy with CBTF support. This project will cover the first year of implementation of this five year strategy.
