Successful implementation of the second IAEREP Capacity Building training

NTU International A/S is pleased to announce successful implementation of the second IAEREP Capacity building training that was held from the 14-17th March 2023 at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel, Lusaka under the “Capacity Building for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency – Feasibility Studies and Demonstration Projects” funded by the European Union in Zambia. The four-day training in Human Resource Management-Balanced scorecard was aimed ensuring that trainees acquire the necessary skills to be able to develop an HR Balance Scorecard System to monitor how much value is being created in state owned enterprise and to help the enterprises to take a long-term view of the HR function. The training encompassed the following areas: Climate setting and review of prior learning, poor performance diagnosis, principles and criteria of performance Management, practical balance scorecard-Job specific, balanced scorecard perspectives and benefits, recruitment scorecard, crafting vision/mission/values/objectives, new hire orientation methods, corporate balance scorecard, performance feedback sessions, HR Analytics, ways to manage employee performance and crafting of an employee balance scorecard.

A total of 27 participants from a total of 13 institutions representing both the private and public sector participated in the training. The facilitator created a lively and participatory learning environment that kept each trainee engaged throughout all the training sessions. On the final day of the training a certificate of attendance was officially handed over to each participant by Mr Alex Mbumba, the Acting Chief Executive Officer at the Rural Electrification Authority (REA). Thereafter, Mr Fred Joe Nambala from the University of Zambia and Ms Mwamba Lubemba Katiki from Ashfield Resources gave a vote of thanks, they were both grateful for the opportunity to participate in such informative trainings and appreciated the excellent learning environment that the facilitator created. Ms Lubemba went on to mention that it will be very beneficial for the Country for many more institutions to benefit from these trainings, thereby leading to well established HR systems.
