Support for the Eastern Partnership and Central Asian

The European Partnership and Central Asian countries project in civil aviation (EaP/CA) is funded by the European Union and managed and implemented by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The project will facilitate a sustainable development of civil aviation and the civil aviation administration systems in the beneficiary countries, harmonize regulations and working practices to comply with the international standards in the field of aviation safety and security and, specifically for the Eastern Partnership countries, with the requirements of the Common Aviation Area Agreements being negotiated or signed with the EU.

NTU has extensive experience working with this type of tasks, and our team supported EASA in procuring expertise support in the area of EU and international regulations in order to strengthen the oversight capabilities of the Eastern Partnership and Central Asian beneficiary countries in the domains of Airworthiness, Flight Standards, Aerodromes, ATM/ANS and Safety Management System as well in the areas of Economic Regulation, Social Aspects and Consumer Protection. Within the technical activities related to “WP4 – Competence development” of the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia Project (EaP/CA), a 5 days specific training on Air Crew Requirements was delivered to participants from the Civil Aviation Authorities of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Ukraine.
